Today, the Archaeology Centre at the University of Toronto is the preeminent centre of its kind in Canada and among the top 10 in the world.

U of T’s archaeologists, historians and material culture specialists are conducting ground breaking research on the early stages of human evolution, the origins of agriculture, early state formation and the historical civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Classical World, South America and South Asia. Each year, our faculty and students are working at excavations across Canada, from BC’s Sunshine Coast to the High Arctic, and around the globe, from Cambodia and China to Pakistan and Peru to Turkey and South Africa.

Increasingly, our ability to excavate important archaeological sites relies on donor partnerships. Certain digs are even at risk of being halted and the sites reburied and left fallow. We need your support to ensure that this vital research continues and that we can open up new opportunities for excavation and preserving our cultural heritage and civilizational treasures.

Your support will have a profound and transformative impact.

Funding Priorities

Innovation Fund

Discovery Endowment

Israel Fund

Shaw Fund

How to Make a Donation

Online: https://donate.utoronto.ca/give/show/114

Donate Now

Mail: send a cheque made payable to the University of Toronto
Office of Advancement
Faculty of Arts & Science
100 St. George Street
Toronto, ON M5S 3G3

Telephone: Office of Advancement at 416.978.4179

All donors receive a charitable tax receipt.
